Olympics

Ring Force is a children's book based for the Olympics I was a part of. It was produced by NBC and Nathan Love and published by Rodale books. It features 3 illustrations by me although I had originally made 4 and some changes were made. I'm giving you all a sneak peak at two of the three featured and the one of Booker waking up (super loved that one) which was not used. So I'm super happy to be able to share it now~!

If you are involved in art in NYC, you guys may have stumbled upon the awesometastic sale at BLICK. I picked up some art goodies I've been wanting to try out which include sumi Ink! This is a little something I whipped up with it. From here on out stream of consciousness writing with a big dash of personal workings of the mind.

Other awesome sweet things in NYC is the Thai Food. This is some awesome basil mock duck I had the pleasure of consuming at enThaice. Why am I showing you thai food?

The last few months I've really been forced to take a hard look at my life and how I've just been riding the wind in a way. My trip to Missouri in April can be summed up by this picture (on your right). It's so difficult adjusting. My brother is now an adult making his own and although I worry about him, I am proud of him.

Life is difficult and it is extremely important to find a good support system. The people you admire, and make them proud.

I'll go back to making more art based posts soon. But I really love when artist give you a peak of what's going on in their lives and what drives them. I love knowing what goes on in the minds of those that produce work I love like Marcos Chin, Paul Pope, Jillian Tamaki and other awesome artist. I admire people who've had a struggle and have surpassed it humbly and want to give back or help others with their stories or advice. I feel we need more people like that, especially in our tiny little art community.
